The pandemic<\/strong> that is currently affecting the world is of an unprecedented magnitude both in terms ofhealth emergency<\/strong> than on its expected economic and social consequences.<\/strong>
Many countries use containment of their populations<\/strong> which now concerns several billion<\/strong> of people in the world.<\/p>

In parallel with clinical research to identify effective treatments<\/strong> of the disease (about a hundred clinical trials are underway worldwide), it seems essential to have data on containment and its short and medium term impacts on the population<\/strong>.<\/p>

That is why Kappa Sant\u00e9<\/strong><\/a>, Kap Code<\/strong> and a team of Inserm Center \" Bordeaux Population Health<\/a> \"<\/strong> have taken the initiative to create the CONFINS online cohort,<\/strong> a collaborative research project, which aims to better understand the impact of the coronavirus epidemic and containment on well-being and mental health<\/strong> but also on the opinions and fears of the population about this epidemic, its treatments and vaccines.<\/p>

The CONFINS e-cohort will include 2 groups<\/strong>one made up of students, some of whom come from the i-Share cohort<\/strong><\/a>the other, a sample in general population<\/strong> recruited, among others, via social networks. An initial questionnaire will be completed at inclusion and enrollment in the cohort, after obtaining consent. Follow-up will include a weekly questionnaire to monitor the evolution of various parameters and additional modules in the weeks to come.<\/p>

Data protection and guarantee of confidentiality<\/strong> will be subject to the usual procedures. The data will be hosted on a server certified as a health data host and located in France. All of the cohort's data and results will be shared with the scientific community and many partnerships are under discussion.<\/p>

The CONFINS cohort is based on a multidisciplinary team<\/strong> associating researchers in public health and the humanities and social sciences, epidemiologists and specialists in health innovation.<\/p>

This partnership between disciplines and between the public and private sectors made it possible to implement this ambitious project in record time.<\/p>
