Peut-on attraper le coronavirus en buvant l’eau du robinet ?<\/h2>

En France, le syst\u00e8me de traitement des eaux us\u00e9es est sous haute protection et nous donne une eau potable de grande qualit\u00e9.\u00a0<\/strong>Le coronavirus ne r\u00e9siste pas aux diff\u00e9rents traitements de l\u2019eau (d\u00e9sinfection au chlore, ozonation, rayonnement ultra-violet,…)[1]<\/a>[2]<\/a>[3]<\/a>[4]<\/a>. Malgr\u00e9 des traces de virus retrouv\u00e9es dans les eaux non potables de la ville de Paris, il n\u2019y a donc aucun risque d\u2019attraper le COVID-19 en buvant l\u2019eau de son robinet.<\/p>

Quelles sont les caract\u00e9ristiques du virus qui le rendent fragile ?<\/strong><\/h2>

Le COVID-19 fait partie des virus dits \u00ab\u00a0envelopp\u00e9s\u00a0\u00bb<\/strong> mais la membrane qui les entoure est fragile. Si cette membrane est ab\u00eem\u00e9e, le virus ne peut plus infecter l’\u00eatre humain. \u00c9tonnement, un virus de type envelopp\u00e9 est moins stable dans l\u2019environnement et est plus sensible \u00e0 l\u2019action de produits de d\u00e9sinfection, et du chlore en particulier*. Cela signifie que le coronavirus peut \u00eatre d\u00e9sactiv\u00e9 beaucoup plus rapidement<\/strong> que les virus non envelopp\u00e9s (ex: ceux qui provoquent les gastro-ent\u00e9rites ou l\u2019h\u00e9patite A).<\/p>

Avec l’arr\u00eat du fonctionnement de nombreuses entreprises li\u00e9 au confinement, il a \u00e9t\u00e9 anticip\u00e9 que l\u2019eau risquait de rester plus longtemps que d\u2019habitude dans les canalisations. Pour garantir sa qualit\u00e9, le pourcentage de chlore utilis\u00e9 pour la d\u00e9sinfecter a \u00e9t\u00e9 tr\u00e8s l\u00e9g\u00e8rement augment\u00e9. Ceci obstrue l\u2019entr\u00e9e des unit\u00e9s de traitement des eaux us\u00e9es et peut aller jusqu\u2019\u00e0 boucher les r\u00e9seaux de distribution.
