Bordeaux Population Health

Bordeaux Population Health is an Inserm research center of the University of Bordeaux. It is organized around 11 research teams headed by the Pr Christophe Tzourio. The research conducted by this research center concerns pathologies (cancer, HIV, etc.) or health fields such as epidemiology.

Indeed, Bordeaux Population Health has the characteristic of being able to conduct large-scale cohort studies, for example on the health of the elderly or on nutrition. More recently, the Inserm center has created I-Share is a scientific study on youth health. A public research open to young people with confidentiality on the data shared by them. These data allow us to measure the impact of sleep, alcohol, stress or depression on the daily life and health of young people.

These different factors have been considerably impacted by the Covid-19 crisis. Young people, mainly students, are suffering the full impact of this pandemic, including mentally. Thus, along with Kappa Santé and Kap Code with the I-Share study, an e-cohort for student mental health assessment was implemented: CONFINS.
